Sublime RushI am very happy to tell you that I recently assumed ownership of Sublime Rush from the amazing
EveryNextDream. I know I have some awesome shoes to fill there, but I am really looking forward to keeping the momentum of the magazine going. I have quite a few interviews lined up with some amazing artists around the world. There will be an In Review & Preview Issue at the end of August and then Issue 008 will be out at the end of October.
Send me a note here if you are interested in being in Sublime Rush or contributing, or email mail@sublimerush.com.
And if you are not familiar, you can check out the magazine here: www.sublimerush.com (

4bstr4ct4rtI have been trying to keep up with stuff over at
4bstr4ct4rt more lately. I think a few people thought the group was dead, but alas it is not. Thanks to
Senecal,
limegintonic,
lien, and
limnides for helping me keep up with the entries that come into the gallery. I know this is not the easiest group to get your work into. It is heavily juried. We do look for a certain element to the abstract work that goes into the gallery. We look for excellent compositions with an organic quality. If you look through the gallery and see what has made it in, that will help you gauge if your work is a good fit. If you do not make it, do not give up...try again. Some of our jurors will take the time to go to your gallery and tell you what is a better choice.
We recently announced a call for entries for 4bst4ct4rt's Box Folio Set One and Two
4bstr4ct4rt.deviantart.com/blo… you are interested in entering into this juried call, we would love to hear from you.
Art LifeOn the home front I have been kicking ass with sales this month...I decided to take 4 paintings to a party and sold all of them, plus two more. Now that is what I call a great month!
I am planning an Open Studio event for the end of August, so hopefully I can keep up that momentum!!
I have also been busy serving as Secretary on the board of German Village Art League here in Columbus, Ohio.
www.gvartleague.com/index.phpThat has been an interesting experience so far. Getting ready for many events for the rest of the year, including Gallery Informal, which is where we partner with a local gallery to help give our members advice on how to approach a gallery with their work.
Wow...it is a wonder I have time to sleep.
